デジタルデータ情報量はまだ未知の可能性があり、画像データや音声データのみならず、何らかの 感情のデータも記録できるのではないかという仮説を立てた。 現在生きている人が未来の人に向かって自分たちの「想い」をタイムカプセルのようにデジ タルデータに記録すれば、感情の再生装置が発明されたときにその情報が開き、誰かがその「想い」を読み取ってくれるはずだろうと考えている。この作品はデジタル一眼レフの動画機能を使った普通のポートレートのように 見えるが、それぞれの人たちが未来の人たちに向けて何らかのメッセージを送っている。例えば左下に写っている人は10月10日生まれ。現在、風邪が治りかけているところで、100年後の日本は平和でしょう か。と未来人に向かってテレパシーで語りかけている。 

 

The amount of information digital data can hold is undetermined and has tremendous possibility.  So I made a hypothesis that it could record not only visual image or sound data but human emotions. If future generation invented emotion player which enable them to read human feelings recorded in digital data, people living today could render their mind in it and leave it like time capsule to the descendants. These works below may seem simple portraits of people recorded by the HDSLR(digital single lens reflex camera with an HD video capability), however each person is sending some mental message to the future generation. For example, the boy lower left was born on Oct.10th and he was just getting better from a cold.  He was asking to the people 100 years from now whether the world would be in peace with them, by telepathy.
